How to create a link with no file extensions

It is important to note that when it comes to creating a professional website, now-a-days your links must not contain any file extensions what-so-ever. To make a link with no .html, .php, etc... simply add this piece of code to your htaccess document, and change the links in your webpage to have no file extensions, and your site will appear professional.

Custom Links

Simply replace the filename.ext with the name of the file you wish to use, such as myHomepage.php and the word home with the name of the page you wish to have named (such as about).
RewriteRule ^home$ /filename.ext [L]
Also make sure that you have this code at the top of your .htaccess file under the Expiration Header in order for this RewriteRule to take effect.
RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{HTTPS} =off
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME}\.php -f
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ $1.php [L]
